Chairman Just a few points of changes: · I convinced the groundsmen to mark us a three lane 200m straight on the grass. Although it is slightly bumpy, it is still suitable for anyone who wants to do any grass strides/sprints etc. This is located between Coalport and the big pylon. · Chris R has set up a new forum for discussions about the club. This can be accessed through the picture website www.suac.co.uk/pictures or directly at http://suac.proboards36.com/. Each of you are members to the forum. Your username is your first name followed by the first initial of your surname (e.g. Joe Bloggs-JoeB). Your password will have been sent to your e-mail accounts. Ash C, Lois T, Nick G, Nicola H, Scott B have not been set up yet as I don’t have a valid e-mail account for you. If anyone knows their e-mail accounts, I would be grateful if you send to me. · www.suac.co.uk/pictures has been updated again with the latest pictures from last Wednesday’s Gobble and other pictures have also been added from previous Gobbles. · Committee meeting this Wednesday so if any body has any issues to be brought up, can you e-mail them to me ASAP. Hope training is going well for you all! Rich Kay Men’s Cross-Country Captain The biggest cross country fixture of the university year is now fast approaching. If you are planning to come on this trip, here is the key info:
* Meeting outside the Leek Road Venue at 5:30pm on Friday 4th Febuary. Please dont be late, we will be leaving fairly promptly so we can make dinner somewhere halfway decent. * Bring adequate clothing to last 3 days. This includes your kit (clothing & spikes!) and your 'fancy-togs' for the social afterwards. If you need a vest, contact one of the cross country captains before we go so appropriate provisions can be made. * Also, please bring adequate funds to last 3 days, including your meals. Please note however that breakfasts are included in the £50 you've already paid, so you dont need to worry about them. * However, please bear in mind that the minibus will be filled to its maximum capacity of 17 people, so if we can keep excess/unnecessary baggage down to a minimum, it will make for a more safer & comfortable journey for all of us * The race timetable for those of you who are worrying about it is as below.
We are running at Boddington Fields, Leeds University
