Hi guys just to say well done to
everyone who took part in the
busa xcountry at leeds, you did the the uni proud. i was
pleased with such a good turn out, lets hope we can get
alot of people out in the indoor and outdoor busa track
events. the weekend was a success and the after party was a
good laugh (esp the drunken antics that went on!! no names
mentioned!!)me and craig are thinking of entering the ed
prickett relays (road) on march 12th in nottingham, its 3
girls for a team. its only 2.75 miles a leg so not too far!
it would be kool if we could get 2 or more teams out. could
you let me know if your interested, cheers. laura x
Hi Everyone
Not much to say this week really. Thanks to Jo the Busa
indoors accommodation and transport have now been sorted i
believe, cheers jo. She has managed to get us another good
deal through the same booking agency used for the Busa xc
so we should be staying at another top draw hotel that
hopefully has a large kitchen in which to raid! The
overall cost for the trip is £55 i think, if you have paid
a £20 deposit we will only require a cheque for £35 if not
£55 please, again you may be able to get 60% of the cost
back, touch wood. If anyone is planning to make their own
way please let us know so that we can give you your deposit
back and cancel your room. If you could get the cheques
(made payable to SUU) to either of us asap that would be
great. Just want to congratulate Scotty & Mo for their top
performances at the indoor meet last thursday, you did the
club proud boys. Would also like to add that my 6.65 metre
effort in the shot put was merely a safety throw, which was
well within my capabilities, what you would describe as a
token effort and i could easily have launched it over the
10metre mark as you shall see at the Busa's, just wanted to
clear that up for myself and rival multi-eventer Chris
Rodgers! Further congratulations go to staffs star athlete
Kate Dennison who was 3rd in the AAA's champs at Sheffield
at the weekend, looks like she is coming into some good
form for the Busa indoors which is always handy.
Think thats about it
No its not, nearly forgot the most important part, myself
and Mo (Chefs), Craig (unspecified), Scotty (Elvis) and i
think Jo and laura are going to gobble in fancy dress this
wednesday, so if anyone else wants to join in and go
dressed looking like a pillock (refering to me & Mo) you
are more than welcome, should be a good laugh. Will bring
the remainder of the stale cake to circuits.
Hope to see you all soon

Everyone ran really well, think
everyone enjoyed the weekend. I hope everyone can come next year as it was a
great success.
People doing the indoors expect to get cheques ready for next week. Jo and
Rich will give you more info on that soon. As they are currently getting
accomadation sorted Hope everyone is fit for it and looking forward to it.
Everyone should try attend running club circuits, especially for training
for the indoors. (need to keep both going).
Love JO x
